Beyond the

borehole

Tapping into the full potential of deep groundwater systems in Burundi, Green Tap aims to gather NGO’s into one village, inspired by what can be achieved together.

In close collaboration with local government and community leaders, Green Tap offers a range of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions and empowers the community to create the roadmap for development and transformation.

The model village

Imagine what we can do together. Imagine seeing a village impacted by the full spectrum of WASH activities. Strategically coordinated efforts can ensure greater impact.

The opportunities are abundant: from new water supplies, to irrigation systems, to better farming techniques, to increased sanitation, we envision generational transformation.

of water springing up to eternal life.”

Who We Are

John and Caelene Peake have been connected to the country of Burundi since 2004, when Caelene worked in Refugee Resettlement in Texas. In 2015, they launched their first project in Burundi called Think East Africa. They developed Think East Africa into a large clean water provision project and eventually rebranded to Amazi Water, reaching almost 1000 water wells under their leadership.

They continue to feel strongly guided by the Lord Jesus, to continue to work in the WASH sector in Burundi, and to this end, they are building Green Tap.

John and Caelene Peake

“Then he moved away from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it; so he named it Rehoboth, for he said, “At last the Lord has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.”
